Electric and silent boating.
Asloep & Atender can also be equipped with the Vetus E-line electric motor. The Electric system accelerates more powerfully and faster than a diesel engine.
There are 3 E-line motors available. We start with the 5Kw, continue with a 7.5Kw and finish with the 10Kw. We will place this last very powerful quiet motor more often in the Asloep 770 and our beautiful Atender 72.
An electric drive ensures peace and quiet on board. You enjoy the natural sounds on the water and each other undisturbed. The engine is easy to operate and your display tells you exactly how much longer you can sail. And: with your electric boat you can still go anywhere in the future!
The advantages of electric boating are:
-You can cruise on waterways where diesel is not allowed. Note the big cities like Amsterdam are going further and further in this with their policies.
-No engine noise so conversation on board is more pleasant and no disturbance to nature.
-You have no emissions and vibrations on board.
-Less engine maintenance
The disadvantages are:
-Limited range but that also depends on the position of your throttle and battery pack.
-Dependence on charging points at your berth
-Purchase is more expensive than a diesel engine
